FAQ

Choosing to straighten your teeth is a big decision affecting your appearance and lifestyle. As an adult, you may want to improve your smile for business or social reasons. Or perhaps you’re a teen or the parent of a teen hoping to make the best of an inevitable situation. Either way,

Invisalign® can provide a simple way to straighten various smiles.

nvisalign is a clear aligner orthodontic treatment that uses a series of custom-made,
transparent plastic aligners to gradually move teeth into their desired positions.

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, transparent plastic aligners that gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. Each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks before being replaced with the next stage in the series.

Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, making them a more discreet option than conventional braces. They are also removable, which makes eating and cleaning your teeth easier. Invisalign aligners are also more comfortable than braces as they don’t have any wires or brackets that can irritate your mouth.

The average treatment time for Invisalign varies from person to person, depending on the severity of the orthodontic issues. Typically, treatment with Invisalign takes about 12 to 18 months.

Invisalign treatment is generally not painful, but some patients may experience mild discomfort when they switch to a new set of aligners. This discomfort typically goes away after a few days.

There are no food restrictions with Invisalign, as the aligners can be removed while eating. However, brushing your teeth before putting your aligners back in is recommended to maintain good oral hygiene.

Invisalign aligners should be worn for 20 to 22 hours per day. They should only be removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.

Invisalign aligners are designed to be removable but should be worn for 20 to 22 hours daily to achieve the best results.

Contact your provider immediately if you lose or break one of your Invisalign aligners. They may be able to order a replacement aligner for you.

You must see your Invisalign provider every 4 to 6 weeks during treatment to check your progress and receive new aligners.
